September 08, 2014: HM Ambassador to Nepal His Excellency. Andy Sparkes and Head of DFID Nepal Mrs. Gail Marzetti along with other DFID team members visited SAFAL program in Budar, Doti. The high level visit takes place after the completion of one year of the project. Coincidently, it was the closing day of “Gaura” (a local festival celebrated in the hills and mountains of far-western Nepal) in Budar Doti and the team also observed the closing ceremony of the “Gaura” cultural event in Budar.   SAFAL project is a part of DFID Nepal “Access to Finance for the Poor Program” in Nepal.  Currently SAFAL is being implemented in 13 districts of Nepal to reduce poverty in remote and rural areas particularly hills and mountain communities.
